All operations are performed under sterile conditions – in particular, orthopaedics and major soft tissue surgery are undertaken in the purpose built theatre (with positive pressure ventilation) at Moulton. Modern anaesthetic agents and techniques mean that there is a high margin of safety. Anaesthesia is always closely monitored by a member of the nursing team assisted by up to date equipment. We also offer pre-anaesthetic blood tests to make sure patients are prepared in advance for any anaesthetic or procedure that may be undertaken.
